ITOX Announces New Long-Life ATX Product to

Support Intel® CoreTM2 Duo and Quad Processors

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – January 28, 2008 – ITOX, a leading provider of embedded x86 products, today announced the introduction of two new motherboards supporting Intel® CoreTM2 Duo and Quad processors. These high-performance ATX form factor boards are designed specifically for embedded applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, with long-term availability. Utilizing the Intel® Q35 Express chipset, these products have guaranteed availability through December 2014. The LGA775 socket supports a wide range of Embedded Intel® Architecture processors, including the Intel® CoreTM2 Quad processors, Intel® CoreTM2 Duo processors and Intel® Celeron® 400 series processors with 800, 1067, and 1333 MHz front-side bus speeds.

 

The ITOX model BL630-DR motherboard utilizes an Intel® ICH9DO Southbridge providing RAID 0, 1, 5 & 10 disk configuration using Intel® Matrix Storage Technology. Setup controls incorporated into the system BIOS allow pre-OS RAID creation, naming and deletion of disk arrays. Full management and status reporting of the RAID array storage devices is performed using Intel® Matrix Storage Manager utility software. These features make the ITOX BL630-DR ideal for data intensive applications such as medical imaging, security & surveillance, interactive Kiosks, and additional applications requiring higher data security. The ITOX BL630-D model utilizing the Intel® ICH9 Southbridge is available for applications not requiring RAID support.

 

Both the BL630-D and BL630-DR motherboards benefit from a 50% reduction in power required by the new Intel® Q35 Express chipset, compared to the Intel® Q965 Express chipset. At the same time, additional performance increases are realized through incorporation of Intel® Fast Memory Access, and Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (Intel® VT-d). Both boards are fully Windows Vista Aero compliant, providing dual-independent graphics display support up to QXGA (2048 x 1536) at 75 Hz via the onboard VGA and DVI connectors. Expansion is provided through 1-PCI Express x 16 slot, 1-PCI Express x1 slot and 4-PCI slots.

 

Optimized for the Intel® CoreTM2 Quad processor, the BL630-D and BL630-DR motherboards retain full compatibility with Intel® CoreTM2 Duo processors and Intel® Celeron® 4xx sequence processors. Maximum performance is leveraged with up to 8GB DDR2 800MHz dual-channel memory, dual PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet controllers and onboard Intel® GMA 300 graphics accelerator.
