ITOX Announces Long-Life COM Express Solution

New Product Supports Intel® Dual-Core processors

               

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – February 7, 2007 – ITOX, a leading provider of embedded x86 products, today announced introduction of a long-life COM Express solution supporting Intel® dual-core processors. The company’s new G5C900-B COM Express module utilizes the Mobile Intel® 945GM Express chipset supported under Intel’s Embedded Architecture program, and accepts a wide performance-range of Intel mPGA 479 packaged processors. This includes the Intel® Core™ Duo processor featuring dual-core architecture, Intel® Core™ Solo processor, Intel® Celeron® M processor

The G5C900-B module conforms to PICMG COM Express Basic, Type 2 specifications and implements the latest interface technologies using serial differential-signaling on an extremely compact footprint of 3.75” x 4.9”. The full-performance features of the G5C900-B COM Express module are available when mated with an ITOX COM630-B development board, or custom-designed PICMG compliant carrier board.

Designers will be able to quickly transistion to new processor and chipset technologies in their product lines, by merely upgrading the plug-compatible COM Express module.”

 

Optimized for the Intel® Core™ Duo processor featuring dual-core architecture, the G5C900-B COM Express module retains full-compatibility with the Intel® Celeron M processor. Performance features include up to 2GB of DDR2 533MHz or 667MHz memory, onboard PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet controller and Intel GMA 950 graphics. An mPGA 479 socket provides support for specified Intel processors with 667MHz, 533MHz and 400MHz system bus speed.

Product Availability

Sample units of the ITOX G5C900-B COM Express module are available now and the COM630-B development board will be available April 2007. Production quantities of both products will be available June 2007. G5C900-B quantity one list price is $465 (OEM volume pricing available on request).
