ISA Slots and the Intel® /Microsoft®  PC 99 Design Guide
The latest version of PC design requirements and recommendations published jointly by Intel® and Microsoft® are effective July 1 of this year. PC systems must comply with the PC 99 System Design Guide to qualify for the ubiquitous "Designed for Microsoft Windows…" logo. While this logo may not be considered a requirement for turnkey CTI and industrial systems, it is extremely important in the desktop PC market. Since the high-volume desktop market requirements drive hardware design at most PC companies, the many industrial system developers that use commercial PC motherboards within their products will need to deal with the dictates PC 99.
